Create and manage recipes

A recipe is the source for batch, printing, expiry and recipe quality data.

Create a recipe

  1. Open Recipes and create a recipe.
  2. Enter Arabic or English names and an optional code.
  3. Set base output, unit and shelf life in hours or days.
  4. Add storage guidance and available temperature limits.
  5. Add ingredients, quantities and units.
  6. Write preparation steps in order.
  7. Declare allergens and available nutrition data.
  8. Add quality questions and their stage.
  9. Save the draft and publish when approved.

Versions

The published version is a stable reference. A batch stores a snapshot of its recipe version, so later recipe edits do not rewrite the batch.

Connected workflow

Shelf life calculates batch expiry; allergen, storage and nutrition data can flow to print when available and enabled.

Published recipe → Batch → Sequential QC → Approval → Label & expiry

Batch without a recipe

No Recipe is a batch option, not a secret recipe mode. Product, quantity, unit and dates are entered manually, and missing recipe-derived fields are omitted.
