Team, roles and permissions
Give each person the actions they need and limit their view to the locations they manage.
Add a team member
- Open Settings, then Users and permissions.
- Add the user details.
- Choose the right role.
- Assign all locations or selected locations.
- Confirm the account is active before handoff.
Roles and scope
Shamel separates action permission from location scope. A user may view batches but only for assigned branches.
- Use built-in roles or custom roles when the plan supports them.
- Use the Permission Guide in access settings.
- Test a limited role before wider use.
Example
A branch manager can follow tasks and temperatures for one branch, while an operations manager can see several locations.
